Amatller is probably the oldest chocolate maker in Spain. The Amatller family started producing fine chocolate in 1797 in the district Santa Maria Del Mar in Barcelona.
Chocolates Amattler passed from father to son in 1872 when the founder's grandson Antoni Amatller too control of the business. Amatller continues to flourish today being world renowned as one of Europes very finest chocolatiers.
